Getting ready to nurse Max!

“Babywearing” is a savior for the working parent as it keeps your baby close to you while still letting you be hands free to go about your daily activities. As a new mom I knew that if I was going to get any work done around the house or for my business I had to get a wrap! Then it came down to which wrap to choose…Solly Baby stood out among the rest for two reasons: 1. Their wraps are made in America and support a variety of American businesses in the making of their wraps and 2. Anne Hathaway used Solly Baby when she had her first baby! 😀

The wrap is super soft and very breathable so you can easily wear it for awhile and not get too hot! I only had to practice tying the wrap once before I put Max in it and everything went well! When you have your newborn in it though you have to make sure the wrap is adjusted so it sits high on your body – your baby’s head should be within kissing distance. When you get comfortable in your wrap you can also try nursing in it, although you will have to adjust it to move it down. Once you have those two positions mastered then the world is at your fingertips!

At the gym – babywearing and just finished nursing him during my workout! Anything is possible with the Solly Baby wrap.

You may be surprised but I use my Solly Baby wrap ALL the time when I’m at the gym! Max is not a good sleeper during the day (but great at night- go figure!) so he usually doesn’t sleep long enough to let me workout (or do anything else for that matter). So I just wrap him up and use him as my weight in my workout! As long as your baby’s head is supported you can do all sorts of exercises – squats, lunges, bicep curls, tricep extensions, rows, etc. You can easily do a full body workout while wearing your baby! I have even nursed Max while he was in a wrap and I was working out! And YES, he is super comfortable – often times he falls asleep in the wrap while I’m working out.

The Solly Baby wraps are designed to be used for the first year of your baby’s life or until they reach 25 lbs. Their wraps are really stretchy, soft, and breathable. Technically speaking according to the Solly Baby website they “are made out of certified Lenzing modal, which is a lightweight, buttery soft and sustainable fabric sourced from the pulp of Austrian beechwood trees. Everything from the fabric to the packaging is made in the US and dyed with environmentally-friendly dyes and there is a handy self-enclosing pocket at the end of the wrap for easy storage.” So there you have it! In all counts this is a great wrap to use when you’re out, at home, and at the gym! It is baby and mom approved 🙂 I highly recommend that you check out Solly Baby on their website, Facebook, and Instagram!babywearing
