John Krasinski – you may remember him from his role in The Office – has a new role and it’s completely different than what we’re used to see him doing. He had to pack on some muscle and drop the fat for his role on 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. He enlisted the help of his wife, Emily Blunt’s trainer Jason Walsh. Walsh owns Rise Movement in West Hollywood and was the same trainer responsible for Bradley Cooper’s 40 pound transformation for American Sniper.
Krasinski did two-a-day workouts, five times a week to play a Navy Seal in just 4 months. He brought his body fat from about 25% to 9%! He revealed some more fun tidbits about his transformation to Men’s Health which you can find below:
Favorite workout song: “What More Can I Say,” Jay Z.
Favorite exercise: “Bench press.”
Least favorite workout: “Bulgarian split squat.”
“I gotta be honest: It was brutal at times,” Krasinski says. “We did tons of metabolic work, dragging sleds and all this stuff I’ve seen NFL players do.”
