Succo Juicery – REVIEW

Succo Juicery is new to Beirut’s juice scene but well established where it was founded – in the UK! The man behind the juicer – so to speak – is Amer pictured below! He shared a bit of his passion with us and explained why he thought he needed to bring Succo here!succo

Amer has lived in Belgium, Hong Kong, Dubai and Switzerland. In fact, Switzerland is where he first tried and fell in love with granola. Having lived in health conscious and active areas he got accustomed to various aspects of the fit lifestyle like walking everywhere and having easily accessible green juices!

He has about 2-3 juices per day, and when he moved to Lebanon he missed having places where he could get his raw juices without breaking the bank! He soon realized that there was a need for a place where people can go everyday to get a healthy juice that was convenient and affordable.

Having easy and affordable access to juices and getting people hooked on how good it feels to have a daily green juice is all a part of how he wants to start shifting the culture in Beirut to be more health conscious. That’s something we can definitely understand and support!succo6

Their current location is in Ramlet el Bayda, and they deliver! Their juices will soon be available in some gyms and other retail locations. One important fact to point out about Succo’s juices is that they are 100% raw, so their cold press lasts 3 days, smoothies only one day, and juices 2 days.succo3

The drinks we tried, and that are pictured in this blog are “Schmazing Skin”, “Beetwater”, “C Breeze”. They were all light and refreshing! Besides juices they also offer food options as well. Most of them are made in-house! For example they make their own acai bowl, almond milk, almond butter, granola, chia pudding, cereal bar, carrot cake bread, and super food bread. The in-house dietitian, Rawan, formulates the nutrition of their food products. We tried their “little bites”, two different balls of goodness! They didn’t want to give me all the ingredients – I guess I have to go back to get some more:) – but the first one was made with hazelnut/cacao/dates! The second one we tried was almond/oats/peanut butter and was really amazing! The granola breakfast bowl was also a hit! I ate all of mine…AND finished Robert’s! It’s not on the main menu, but it’s a daily special. The homemade granola on top was really unlike any others I’ve tasted before.
